Carlos Francisco López Abadín
Director and founder of ARTELEY
Practicing lawyer, Carlos Francisco López Abadín is member of the Bar Association of Malaga since 1995. He holds a diploma in advanced studies in the Doctoral Program in the Institutions of Private Law Department of Civil Law, Faculty of Law, Malaga.

Expert in aesthetic theory and contemporary art in the area of aesthetics and art theory from the University of Málaga.

Completed courses, within the Master Specialization of the Open University of Catalonia, Barcelona, on History of East Asia, Human Geography of East Asia, Political and Legal Organization of Eastern Asia, and the Japanese language.

In 2004 he founded ARTELEY; legal, strategic and image consultancy specialized in the creative sector and leads the office as its director from the start.

Carlos advises on matters of intellectual and industrial property and also image rights to the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Foundation. He has also developed strategic management plans around the brand Málaga and the intellectual and industrial properties for the Department of Tourism of the Townhall of Malaga.

In 2007 Carlos founded LEGAL STUDIO, SPAIN-JAPAN, which he co-directed. Specialized in the sector of intellectual and industrial property aswell as image rights, this studio offered advise to JETRO Madrid (Japan External Trade Organization) among other institutions.
He has participated in numerous conferences y seminars for different forums such as the International Seminar on Art and Law (School of Art in San Telmo), Master of Intellectual Property (Complutense University of Madrid), Municipal Historical Archive of Málaga, Málaga Picasso Museum, Bar of Paris and Barcelona, Málaga Technology Park (PTA) Chamber of Commerce of Malaga, School of Informatics (University of Málaga), Patent Information Fair at Science Museum (Marunouchi, Tokyo, Japan), etc. ..

He has also published numerous papers and articles in journals such as Copyright Magazine, OCS (Overseas Courier Service of Spain, Japanese magazine in Spain), Noticias de España (magazine published by the Hispanic-Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and the Miramar magazine (by Bar Association of Malaga) among others.

Carlos has worked as a cultural manager and curator of various exhibition events. Currently curating exhibitions and events related to the agency for cultural and artistic exchange between Spain – Japan, co-directed since 2013, Wasaku (wasaku.org).

He belongs to various committees and associations such as the International Commission and Art Law section of the Bar Association of Malaga and DENAE (Spanish Entertainment Law Association).
 
Andrea Tegstam

Andrea is Swedish and has lived 10 years in Tokyo, working with multinational companies and learning Japanese. She has a broad experience in international project management and marketing from both Japan, the US (California) and Sweden (Stockholm) mainly in the sectors of new technologies, consumer trends, digital media and environmental management.

Her former employers are Electrolux AB, the Interactive Institute, the Institute For the Future (IFTF), Tetra Pak GmbH, and Nestlé and she also did in-house training with Sony and Dentsu in Japan. Andrea offers a deep knowledge about Japanese business, culture and language.
